The General Directorate of Civil Defense has warned that thunderstorms are expected over most regions of the Kingdom until Wednesday, based on the forecast of the National Center for Meteorology.

Moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of the Makkah region, including Makkah, Al Kamil, Al Jumum, Bahrah, Taif, Maysan, Adham and Al Ardiyat, and in the Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Tabuk, Al Jouf and Northern Borders regions. It may bring flash floods, hail and strong winds that raise dust. Lighter rain is expected in Jeddah, Al Lith, Al Qunfudhah, Rabigh and Khulais, and in the Madinah, Hail and Najran regions.

For Saturday, the National Center for Meteorology also expects possible fog late at night and early in the morning on the coasts of the Eastern Province, Makkah and Madinah, with rough seas at times in the Red Sea.

Civil Defense advises people to stay in safe places, keep away from flood paths and valleys, not to swim in them, and to follow official instructions in the media and on social media.
