The Red Sea Museum in Historic Jeddah has opened a new exhibition called Photographing Distance. It shows photography and video by Matilde Marín, an Argentine artist based in Buenos Aires, and is her first exhibition in Saudi Arabia.

Marín has studied lighthouses for about two decades through her Pharus Project, which she began in 2005. The Jeddah show includes work on the lighthouses of Jeddah and Yanbu.

The exhibition runs from Thursday 8 October to Thursday 31 December at the museum in the Bab Al Bunt building in Al Balad. Tickets cost SAR 10 and are sold on webook.com. The museum opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 10pm and is closed on Mondays.
