Saudi cinemas took more than SAR 86 million in September
Saudi cinemas sold about 1.8 million tickets in September for more than SAR 86.2 million, with Resident Evil the top film.
Cinemas in Saudi Arabia took more than SAR 86.2 million over the five weeks of September, from about 1.8 million tickets, according to figures compiled by the Saudi film site Sollywood.
Resident Evil led the month with SAR 15 million. The Saudi comedy Red Flag came second with SAR 7.9 million, ahead of The Odyssey with SAR 7.4 million. Mutiny, the Arabic film Aks Seer and Heart of the Beast followed, each close to SAR 6 million.
The first week of the month was the strongest, at SAR 19.3 million. Resident Evil was still at the top of the weekly chart in early October.
