Teaching master's: no priority by region, subject or gender, institute says
Applications for the professional master's in teaching closed on Tuesday; interviews run from 17 November to 24 December and results come out on 31 December.
The National Institute for Professional Educational Development closed applications on Tuesday 13 October for its professional master's in teaching, the programme for university graduates who want to take up new teaching jobs. The institute said there is no priority by region, subject or gender, Okaz reported.
Passing the specialist professional licence test is a condition for joining, and passing the educational licence test is required to graduate. The programme runs at six universities so applicants in different regions can take part, in line with the needs the Ministry of Education approves when it announces new teaching jobs. It is taught in Arabic, so there is no English requirement, and the university cannot be changed after formal acceptance. It does not include medical insurance, housing or transport.
The institute says the programme differs from earlier teacher preparation courses because it focuses on classroom practice and supervised field training.
If you applied, the next step is the personal and behavioural skills test; candidates who pass are interviewed between 17 November and 24 December 2026. Final results and the names of those accepted are due on 31 December, and study starts on 17 January 2027 and lasts 10 months.
